VINIFICATION

Handpicked selection in the vineyard, after the grapes are cooled down in a cool room to 6°C. The next day begins the process of selection and crushing of the grapes, by gravity flow on top of the press or tanks, where the grapes do a cool maceration, before pressing. The juice is then ready to ferment in stainless steel tanks. All Amayna wines are certified sustainable through Vinos de Chile

TASTING NOTES

Bright in color with gentile notes of green and light yellow. In the nose, it shows intensity with the expression of tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple and passion fruit. It is complimented by a soft citric sensation as well as spicy and floral notes, reminiscent of ginger and jasmine. In the mouth it shows a balanced acidity, viscosity and long complex finish.

Reviews

"Strawberry and sour cherry"

Vinous - January 1, 2022 The 2018 Pinot Noir Amayna from San Juan de Leyda was 15% stem fermented before aging in French barrels and foudres. Very intense cherry red in the glass. The strawberry and sour cherry aromas combine with mushroom and earthy flavors. Pleasant on the palate, this offers surprisingly firm tannins and lingering, bold flavors lent nuance by the aging process.

"Sea brine and fresh herbs"

Wine Enthusiast - January 1, 2022

"EDITOR'S CHOICE. Tangy aromas of zesty citrus, sea brine and fresh herbs open this Leyda Valley SB that has emerged as one of Chile's most consistently excellent Sauvignon Blancs. Green-melon, thyme and citrus flavors extend across a clean, stony, acid-driven finish. This was made for seafood dishes dressed in olive oil and lemon juice."

Aconcagua Valley

The influence of the sea and soil combined with slow ripening make for a deep ruby-red wine with a touch of violet and great aromatic complexity. The nose evokes ripe fruits with elegant notes of vanilla and spice from the well-integrated oak.
