Vieilles Vignes Françaises is Champagne’s most mythical cuvée, crafted from ungrafted Pinot Noir vines that miraculously survived the phylloxera epidemic. Two of Bollinger’s classified Grands crus, Chaudes Terres and Clos St. Jacques, continue to be farmed using traditional methods that date back to pre-phylloxera times. Created by Madame Lily Bollinger in 1969 to commemorate her 70th birthday and released in 1974, the wine quickly became a collectible, embodying a bygone era. Its rarity makes it one of the most sought-after and collectable Champagnes in the world.

Bollinger is one of the rare Grande Marques that’s still family owned. Known for its rich, elegant and polished style of Champagne, their outstanding wines are the result of rigorous attention to detail and incredibly labor-intensive practices that few houses are willing to undertake. Underscoring its excellence, Bollinger has remained British secret agent James Bond's Champagne of choice since 1973.
