Dollarhide Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Napa Valley
The Dollarhide Estate Sauvignon Blanc showcases the power and elegance of the Dollarhide Ranch most elegantly. The fruit primarily comes from one parcel within the vineyard, featuring almost 40-year-old vines and deep sandy loam. A gentle amount of new French oak and lees aging rounds out and relaxes the profile of this robust white wine.
Vineyard
The Dollarhide Vineyard is often referred to as a “valley within a valley”, featuring elevations ranging from 600 to 1,100 feet above sea level, seven different soil series, 13 soil variations and unique microclimates. Most of the fruit comes from Parcel 5, an area which produced such exceptional Sauvignon Blanc that all future propagations across the entire Dollarhide Vineyard were sourced from here.
Winemaking
After a cool morning harvest, the grapes are fermented between stainless steel and French oak barrels. The wine then rests on its lees for 5 months in 16% new French oak.
Vintage
Low rainfall and a warm summer combined for somewhat early harvests, though the reduced yields provided for some decadently layers wines.
Tasting Note
Fresh aromas of lemon, lemon custard, basil and anise are complemented by a vanillin thread.

Reviews
"Golden Berries and Fine Herbs"
James Suckling - February 9, 2023 "Expressive nose with passion fruit, golden berries and fine herbs. Crisp and dry on the medium-bodied palate, which finishes with some bitter grapefruit and yuzu." - October 2022
"Distinctive"
Wine Spectator - February 9, 2023 "Distinctive, delivering lemon meringue and dried honeysuckle, with accents of fresh basil and lemongrass that add an aromatic twist to a core of citrus and melon." - October 2022
"Excellent Freshness"
Wine Advocate - February 9, 2023 "A portion (16%) of the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Dollarhide Estate Vineyard was matured in wood, so there's a delicate hint of pencil shavings on the nose, accenting scents of fig, melon and tangerine. It's a bit riper and fleshier in the mouth than the estate bottling but still with excellent freshness and a bright, crisp finish." - September 2022

Napa Valley Estate Sauvignon Blanc
Napa Valley
One of St. Supéry’s most renowned wines is their Sauvignon Blanc, vinified in a clean and crisp style. The vines themselves are a unique field selection, hand-picked from within the Dollarhide Vineyard in the late 1990s and propagated throughout the property ever since.
Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley
A blend of their Dollarhide and Rutherford Estate Vineyards, St. Supéry’s Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is an impressively balanced wine of mountainous and valley fruit. The blend is gently melded with new oak for a robust yet measured style, inspired by Bordeaux.
Rutherford Estate Merlot
Rutherford
The Rutherford Estate Merlot shows the typical fine-grained quality that the AVA is known for. Inspired by St Supéry’s initial consulting winemaker, Michel Rolland, a notable amount of the merlot is barrel fermented for a decadent and refined palate.
Élu
Napa Valley
Reflecting some of the best fruit from both their Dollarhide and Rutherford Estate vineyards, Élu is a beautifully textured Bordeaux blend showcasing the high growing quality of St Supéry’s holdings. The opulent style typically leads with Cabernet Sauvignon vintage to vintage, while incorporating various amounts of Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
